Welcome to podAIate (“we”, “us”, “the Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Service.

About This App

This app enables users to configure, generate, and manage podcast dialogues using AI-powered voice synthesis. Users can select and customize speaker voices, adjust advanced voice settings, and create podcast scripts and audio content. The app provides tools for personalizing podcast style, managing account preferences, and handling subscription and credit usage.

1. Accounts & Access

Registration with a valid email address is required.
You are responsible for all activity in your account.
We may suspend or terminate access for any violation of these Terms.

2. Acceptable Use

You must not:

Reverse-engineer, interfere with, overload or otherwise harm our infrastructure.
Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activity.

3. Content, AI & Transparency

The Service generates text and audio using AI. Under the EU AI Act, this is classified as limited-risk AI.
Your obligations:

Inform your audience that any AI-generated audio output is machine-generated.
Use the AI-generated content only in lawful ways that respect third-party rights (e.g., copyright, privacy).

4. Privacy & Data Collection

We collect only the personal data you provide on registration (your email, geocode and zipcode, if applicable.) and basic usage data, in line with GDPR data-minimisation principles.
You retain ownership of all data you upload. By uploading, you allow us to process and forward it to third-party providers.
We do not use analytics, marketing, or tracking cookies.
We do not permanently store user-supplied data, though third-party processors may do so according to their obligations.

5. Payments & Subscriptions

Payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least one day before the next billing cycle.
No refunds are offered for subscriptions or unused credits.
Credits expire one year after purchase.

6. Disclaimers & Limitations

No Warranty: The Service is provided “as-is” without any express or implied warranties.
Limitation of Liability: We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the preceding six months.

7. EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR)

The European Commission provides an ODR platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/
We are not obliged or willing to participate in consumer-arbitration proceedings.

8. Changes to These Terms
